Gulfport man is in jail charged with burglarizing a home

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A Gulfport man is in jail charged with burglarizing a home. That according to Gulfport Police who said they arrested 27-year-old Fabian Ramone Smith on Thursday after a brief chase on foot.

The home owner told investigators that a black man broke into their residence in the 2800 block of 57th Avenue Thursday evening and stole a handgun. Investigators said the man ran away when the home owner approached him.

Smith is in the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility on a $75,000.00 bond. $100K in Cocaine Seized, Three Arrested

Earlier this week, three people were arrested and approximately $100,000 worth of cocaine was seized in a drug bust by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN). According to WJTV News Channel 12, officials also found over $8,900 in cash and four vehicles in the Picayune bust. Gerald Hinton, 50, Draeshund "Lil Dip" Magee, 37, and Joshua Ceaser, 32, were arrested in connection with the drugs.
Although very few details about how the arrests went down have been released, we do know that there was a joint investigation between federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. At this time, all of the suspects have been charged with conspiracy to distribute.

Methamphetamines Arrests in Mississippi

Earlier this week, two men were arrested on suspicion of meth possession. According to WJTV News Channel 12, two pounds of meth were found inside of a stuffed teddy bear. At this time, we do not know how the teddy bear was associated with 33-year-old Nicholas Ringold and 34-year-old Ronald Vaughn, who were both arrested.
The estimated street value for the confiscated 'ice' is about $100,000. Ringold, from Vicksburg, was charged for possession and intent to sell or distribute and Vaughn, of Picayune, was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to sell or distribute. Additionally, over $3,000 cash was also confiscated during the arrest.
